1. Service Overview
ALVO ("the Service") is an experimental narrative engine operated by ALVO ("we," "us," or "the operator"). The author (user) writes a story and AI continues the tale. One act of writing by the author and one response from the AI is called "1W (One Write)," consuming one drop of Ink per 1W. The Service is an experimental project and is not a commercially finished product. Features, content, and availability may change without notice. Contact: contact@alvo-1w.ink
2. Terms of Use
A Google account is required to log in to the Service. Users are responsible for managing their accounts. Users under the age of 13 are not permitted to use the Service.
3. Ink: Purchase, Consumption & Refunds
"Ink" is the sole resource for writing stories. Primary consumption is as follows: - Writing a story (1W) — 1 drop - Opening a new adventure book (Binding) — 10 drops - Generating a synopsis — 10 drops Ink has different expiration periods depending on how it is obtained: - Purchased directly — Valid for 180 days from purchase. Unused Ink past its expiration is forfeited - Benefit Ink granted through Patreon monthly support — Does not expire Ink with an expiration date is consumed first. If a 1W fails to complete due to a server error, the consumed Ink is automatically refunded. Refund Policy: You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase. If you have consumed any Ink, the refund amount will be reduced proportionally based on usage, as each use incurs real-time API costs. Refunds are processed by our payment partner, Paddle. 4. Prohibited Activities & Content Policy
The following activities are prohibited: - Unauthorized use, reverse engineering, or cheating - Use for illegal purposes - Unauthorized API access or automated mass requests The following content will result in permanent suspension: - Child sexual abuse material - Promotion of illegal drugs or terrorism - Hate speech or harassment of specific individuals Expressive content within a narrative context, such as combat scenes or suggestive themes, is not restricted. If input that violates the content policy is detected, Ink will be consumed but no output will be generated.
5. Intellectual Property
Intellectual property rights for ALVO's system, UI, and logos belong to ALVO. Copyright of text written by users belongs to the users. Copyright of AI-generated content belongs to ALVO. Users may personally share and publish their stories. Please contact us in advance for large-scale commercial use. Users grant ALVO a non-exclusive license to use such content for the purposes of providing, improving, and marketing the Service.
6. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is." No absolute guarantees are made regarding quality, availability, or continuity. The accuracy and appropriateness of AI-generated content are also not guaranteed. ALVO shall not be liable for damages arising from use of the Service to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Changes & Termination
These terms and the Service may be modified without prior notice. Users will be notified of significant changes via the Service or email. We will endeavor to provide 30 days' notice before service termination.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. In the event of any dispute, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
